Meryati Johari Blackwell has been with Marlon Blackwell Architect since 1997. With a degree in Architecture and Planning and NCIDQ Certified, she is both an Architectural and Interior Designer at Marlon Blackwell Architect. With over 20 years experience in architectural offices in The United States and South East Asia, Meryati brings a unique perspective and a great depth of experience in her position as Principal and Director of Interiors. She has worked with many project types such as churches and banks, a health center, office buildings, stadiums, libraries and university buildings, as well as residences, retail spaces and hotels. Her talents in architectural and interior design and her expertise in the preparation of construction documents, code research and contract administration, design and detailing, spec writing as well as her ability to coordinate work with various consultants involved in a project are highly valued. She is also a LEED Accredited Professional specializing in Building Design and Construction with experience on several LEED projects and is currently the LEED Project Team Administrator forĀ  projects attempting varying levels of certification within the office.

 

During her tenure at Marlon Blackwell Architect, Meryati has been integrally involved in the realization of numerous noteworthy projects including the Crystal Bridges Museum Store, Blessings Golf Clubhouse, the Fred and Mary Smith Razorback Golf Center, Montessori Elementary and the L-Stack Residence where she also served as the project’s General Contractor. An NCARB record holder and NCIDQ certified, Meryati is an associate member of The American Institute of Architects and a professional member of The American Society of Interior Designers.
