Lauren’s time at the University of Arkansas’s Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design featured several studios with a focus on creating community through architecture, including the Rome and Finland design studios. This interest in reimagining what a community space can be, has continued her passion for engaging the community’s values and vision to create gathering places for all. Lauren also served as a material lab assistant at the School, where she became intrigued with material innovations especially as it pertains to the assembly of textiles and ceramics.
As a California native she has traded her west coast weather for the four seasons of Arkansas. Lauren seeks to create meaningful and impactful architecture with a passion for placemaking and material exploration, blurring the line between disciplines and viewing a project holistically to extend the reach of architecture.
